11년 포럼의 유산 위에 2025년 11월 10일 하와이 주정부(DCCA) 승인을 받은 재단이 한국과 세계의 검증된 기술을 하와이에서 실증(POC)하고, 미국 연방 기준에 맞춘 데이터로 본토 시장에 연결합니다.Built on eleven years of forums and approved by the State of Hawaiʻi (DCCA) on November 10, 2025, the Foundation runs proofs of concept in Hawaiʻi for proven Korean and global technologies, then carries them to the U.S. Mainland with data aligned to federal standards.

2017년 시작된 하와이 바이오이코노미 포럼은 지속 가능한 혁신을 논의하는 선도적 플랫폼으로 자리매김해 왔습니다. 2025년 11월 10일, 포럼은 하와이 주정부가 승인한 비영리 재단으로 전환되며 11년의 성과를 제도적으로 계승하는 새로운 단계에 들어섰습니다.Since 2017, the Hawaiʻi BioEconomy Forum has served as a pioneering platform for sustainable innovation. 재단은 한국 측 아시아 SAF 생산거점 유치단 설립준비위원회와 함께, 오아후의 폐기물 에너지화 시설 H-POWER와 강원 강릉의 안인화력발전소를 하나의 태평양 탄소 순환 밸류체인으로 잇는 한-하와이 공동 프로젝트를 추진합니다. 포집한 CO₂와 수소로 지속가능항공유(SAF)와 e-Fuel을 만드는 것이 목표입니다.With the Korean Preparatory Committee for an Asia SAF Production Hub, the Foundation is advancing a joint Korea–Hawaiʻi project that links Oʻahu's H-POWER waste-to-energy plant and the Anin power station in Gangneung, Korea, into one trans-Pacific carbon value chain. The goal is sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and e-fuels made from captured CO₂ and hydrogen.

'하와이 지속가능성의 아버지'로 불리는 아리요시 전 주지사의 철학을 기리며, 자립·절제·장기적 균형이라는 섬의 가치를 재단의 뿌리로 삼았습니다. 아리요시 전 주지사는 포럼 한 달 뒤인 2026년 4월 19일 별세했습니다.Honoring the "Father of Sustainability in Hawaiʻi," whose ideals of self-reliance, restraint and long-term balance form the Foundation's roots. Governor Ariyoshi died on April 19, 2026, a month after the Forum.
